Our trustees

Postcode Innovation Trust was established in 2016 and is governed by an independent board of Trustees. The Trustees are also responsible for making all funding decisions.

Carolyn Sims

Carolyn Sims

Carolyn has over 16 years working with charities, social enterprises and other organisations delivering social impact. In 2020 she was named in Pioneers Post’s list of ’Women of inspiration. Carolyn leads all Charity Bank’s lending activities and sits on the Executive Committee of the Bank.

She is also Technical Adviser to Eastern Community Homes – a network of organisations looking to deliver more affordable homes in the east of England. Carolyn is Director of Almshouse Consortium Limited the vehicle through which almshouses can access capital grants from Homes England to build new homes or improve existing homes.

Lawson Muncaster

Lawson Muncaster

Lawson Muncaster is a founder of City AM, Britain’s most widely-read daily business newspaper, and has been managing director of the paper since its inception in 2005. Prior to the foundation of City AM, he was vice-president of global sales for the free newspaper group, Metro International. Lawson is married with four children and has homes in London and North Berwick. He is a single figure golfer and he supports Celtic FC.

Emma Colenbrander

Emma Colenbrander

Emma is an internationally recognised social entrepreneur with expertise in business growth and strategy, entrepreneurship and international development innovation. She is currently Director at Spring Impact, which focuses on scaling social innovations. Previously, she was Founder and Head of the Global Distributors Collective, an association of over 200 last mile distribution companies, and co-founder of Pollinate Group, a social enterprise in India that distributes essential products to urban slum communities. Emma has also worked with the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), and is a Trustee at the climate change charity, Ashden.

Richard Dixon

Richard Dixon

Richard is a freelance writer and researcher on the environment, and writes a weekly column in the Scotsman newspaper. He has a strong background in policy and leadership roles in environmental non-government organisations in Scotland – having led both Friends of the Earth Scotland and WWF Scotland in the last thirty years.  Richard served as a board member of SEPA for eight years and is now Acting Chair of Environmental Standards Scotland.  He helped set up Transform Scotland and Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, and previously chaired the Edinburgh Community Solar Co-operative and four Postcode Lottery Trusts.
